A lot of people, surprised to see my dogs with moustaches in curl paper asked me how to do. Before to explain, here are some important things:

  • First curl paper is not something essential. Al ot of dogs in show never had and they also have a very good coat.
  • An adult not used to curl paper be likely to do a lot of damage to his coat trying to catch them.
  • You need to catch and do again them every day ( maximum every two days).
  • You're advice against using this method with several young dogs and let them alone without keeping an eye on. They can chew curl paper and can like this cause irreparable damages.
  • Some texture doesn't withstand curl paper. When the texture are a little bit brittle, the coat a little bit dry, it isn't so good to use that.

Here is how I'm doing :

Material : a comb, curl paper (or plastic wrap).

1- Untangle the moustaches

2 - With the comb do a part from the middle of the eye to the he corner of the mouth. Help you with your finger to lift the coat.

3 - Comb the lock you formed

4 - Put the lock in the paper without doing a spiral.

5 - Turn down one time.

6 -Turn down the other side.

7 - To fold, it depends of the length of the lock. Just try to do less pleats as possible.

8 - On short moustaches we'll fold the lock 1 time , with longer one, 2 times.

7 - Put the elastic band.

8 - It's necessary that the base being flowing; if it's pull the coat, the dog will try to catch them.
