The
National French Specialty 2002 in Bourges |
On February 15th 2002 was held the 17th Coton National Show specialty (one of the show we must win in France to be champion) in Bourges, the day before the aniother show where there was too a Specialty. Surroundings were rather pleasent, rings with carpet
fixed with little white barriers. It was a good beginning. The only
one thing we can regret was the little number of entries to the show
: 64 cotons (19 in male open class and 13 in female open class). Ms Desserne (France) judged the females ans Ms Custot (Switzerland) the males. The CAC female has been won by Raffia de l'Écho des Élingues produced and owned by Cathy Armani. Regarding the CAC male, Reggae de l'Écho des Élingues took it and like this he became France Champion. You must know for the anecdote that Reggae's number show registration was 13 and Cathy wanted to change ... but it bring her good luck (It's what we can say at least)! This luck has continued on the tomorrow show as Raffia won the CAC during the specialty and like this she began too France Champion. We can say that the breeding Ollywod de la Chaumière du lac X Odyssée de l'Écho des Élingues was a success. Everybody enjoyed after the judgments a very convivial atmosphere. Moreover some of our cotons have a lot of fun in the rings after judgments. It was their day right ? It was a so good relaxation moment, and we must say that the winners weren't always resilient running! As the show was on a Friday, there was just a few visitors. It was difficult to follow all the judgments as the rings were opposite for males and females. It wasn't so easy for some breedersd showing a male and a female.
