France

There are 3 kinds of pedigrees in France :

Le Certificat de Naissance
(Birth Certificate)

This certificate is issues to a dog when he born and include its registration # to the LOF (Livre des Origines Françaises) - French Stud Book.

LOF 9 COT. TU. (Book of the 9th group - companion dogs, Coton de Tuléar)
xxxxxx (registration #)

The parents are obliged to have both a pedigree to have this Birth Certificate. It is not the dog's pedigree as understood in France. We find on it the genealogy. It's that the dog is a Coton de Tuléar registered to the LOF.

Export Pedigree

The same document as the Birth Certificate, it is issued to the exported dogs. The word "EXPORT" figure in the document, wrote in red.

Pedigree

This document is issued when the dog has been confirmed,

The confirmation is an exam done only when the dog is 1 year old at least.
In a dog show, a judge (French) examines the dog and qay if it corresponds to the breed standard or not.
2 possilbilties :

The dog is said "APTE" (fit): so it gets its definitive pedigree represented by this document. So the dog is allowed to be bred, its pups can be registered to the LOF (both parents must be confirmed).

The dog is said "INAPTE" (not fit): The dog preserves its registration to the Stud Book, but isn't allowed to bez bred. If the owner bred it, its pups can't never be registered to the LOF. A dog is refused to the confirmation if an eliminating fault is found as described in the breed standard.
