Feed your Coton de Tulear

Here are some elements who can help you in your daily duty : feed your dog!

Before beginning to speak about the food, there is is a vital element which you'll musn't never failed to give : the water. A day of thirst can provoke irreversible aftereffects. Your dog should have at his disposal, twenty four hours a day , some fresh(cool) water. Then , please , do not forget him, because the dog if he protests easily of the food will ask you for some water only when it will be thirsting.

For the food, you have the choice between two possibilities:

The domestic food intake:

It is certainly an excellent solution but it is necessary to be stubborn!

The risks of nutritional deficiencies exist, especially if your dog sorts out food in the mess tin. It is so necessary to make sure that everything is ingested. Be that as it may, if you opt for this solution, know that your grown-up dog needs about 70 grams / day by kilo weighty of a compound ration so :

Please , notice that Kg means Kilogram (one Kg = 2.205 pounds) - g means gram (one g = 0.035 ounces) - mg (means miligram - one mg = 0.0000353 ounces)

The insustrial food:

There are two solutions:

  • Semi-wet food (cans). .

So that your puppy grows well , it is important that its food contains at least 25 % of raw proteins. This rate is never reached with cans (about 8 %). We can't satisfy with giving only this food. It is so necessary to give food(dietary) complements, vitamins....

  • dried food (croquettes).

There are numerous trade marks which propose a whole range of food according to the grown-up size of the dog and its age. All are not of equal quality , please , be so attentive to the composition and think that a quality food has a cost. It is a practical food to use which in the up-market is well-proportioned.

Some remarks :

With a young animal, it is difficult to propose him (her) at the same time a domestic food and an industrial food because this one will eventually generally avoided the industrial food

It is to you to adapt the food according to its activity and to its way of life. An adult Coton de Tulear having a normal activity (garden) consumes about 120 grams of croquettes a day.

Please , know that any rough change in its food risks to provoke a diarrhea.
